Hi fellow bleeping computer folk,

I've just joined up because I have some questions about security identifiers and whether they can be manipulated (and how easily). I wasn't really sure where to properly post, so any direction would be appreciated.

My basic question is about how easy/hard would it be to manipulate security identifiers when copying files/folders from a computer to an external hard drive. Would anyone even do that, and why?

Thanks all.

Welcome to BC !

I would try the 'General security' section of the forum first. If your problem is better somewhere else you will be advised so or it will be moved -
