I am new to this forum, and I am looking for SDFix safe download or similar software to remove malware/spyware to fix things like: REG:system.ini: UserInit=userinit.exe,

Any help would be appreciated

SDFix was a specialized fixed tool created by Andy Manchesta many years ago for Windows XP and Windows 2000. It is no longer being offered for download at BC (or other security forums I am aware of) since the tool is no longer supported and may not work properly on newer operating systems. The developer stopped all work/improvements on his tool some time ago and SDFix has not been updated to include new malware variants since November 6, 2008.

If you need individual assistance with a possible malware infection, you should follow the instructions in the Malware Removal and Log Section Preparation Guide. When you have done that, start a new topic and post your logs in the Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs forum, NOT here, for assistance by the Malware Response Team. If HelpBot replies to your topic, please follow Step One and CLICK the link so it will report your topic to the team members.

If you choose to follow the above instructions, please reply back in this thread with a link to the new topic so we can close this one to avoid confusion.

Thanks
