Over the past year or so, Acrobat (Pro 9.5.5) has been taking longer and longer to exit. It is now taking about a minute. It is slower to open, but this is only a few seconds. Acrobat Reader opens and closes almost instantly. And this is right after a fresh reboot and with nothing else running.

I just checked for updates and it is up to date. As I was checking for updates, I noticed an option to "Repair Acrobat Installation", so I clicked on it. It took about 15-20 minutes to do whatever it did and then demanded a reboot, which I did. It did not make much difference that I can see.

Any suggestions for making this faster? It used to be nearly instantaneous (years ago).

This is on my old XP system. It works fine on my new Win 10 system.

Running Win 10 & Office 365.
