I currently have a

  • Dell Inspiron 7559
  • Windows 10 Home 64Bit

The problem I have right now is that the keyboard is currently randomly pressing the esc button even when I am not at the computer. I've tested it on a keyboard input website and found that the esc key was being inputted and this problem still occurs even when I add an external keyboard.

I would try cleaning it...sounds like at least one stuck key, IMO.

Here is your service manual:

https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-15-7559-laptop_service%20manual_en-us.pdf

Page 34 has instructions for replacing the keyboard and unless you remove it, you will still have it pressing the Escape key sporadically.  Disconnect the laptop's keyboard and try it using the external one (only).  If it is then OK, you need a new keyboard; but, it ought to be less than $20.00 (US).
