That's almost the same thing they use on the "help desk" outfits.  Reading from a script does nothing to help as most "help desk" people are just as uneducated as the users who call.

I now realise that that is where I have been going wrong. I will embrace this chart to the very centre of my being - far easier than composing detailed directions on how to fix a problem. I love it !

:hysterical:  I wish I COULD print it for my wall but my PROBLEM is I can't print, have followed all the above paths, spent not a half hour but DAYS trying to figure it out and ended up here begging for help.  :smash:

Post #6: it always does seem that printers are the part of a computer system most determined to not work.
Back on this site, for a while anyway, been so busy the last year.

My systems:2 laptops, intel i3 processors, windows 8.1 installed on the hard-drive and linux mint 17.3 MATE installed to USB

first you need to have at least one working printer, then connect that printer to your pc, ask for more help after you do those things
