Ok, first thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I did a stupid thing. I DL'ed a keygen from one of the sites (serialz.com I think) and now I have been infected I think. Two things happened after I did this. I got a new toolbar I later found out was called Trustin Toolbar and in my add remove I have Trustin Toolbar and Trustin Cleaner. Next my CD Rom drive quit. When I look it up in Device Manager it has a yellow ! next to it. I have tried to delete it and reinstall it but it keeps saying there was a problem with the installation. I used Adaware SE to delete the trustin (I think it did anyway) but the CD Drive still does not work. CD was working fine as I installed the software I DL'ed the keygen for without a problem but after it no longer worked. Are these two things related? If so, how can I get my CD to work again. Do I need to do a system restore? BTW I am using a Toshiba lappy with combo CDR/dvd drive. Thanks again for any help you all can give!

Hello rehyburg

Did you follow the self-help tutorials for How to remove Trust Cleaner ? I have not heard of any side affects of this malware causing a CD to stop working so that may be a separate hardware issue that occurred coincidentally.
