A 60-something couple in Palo Alto got an unpleasant surprise on Sunday when they woke up in the middle of the night to find a masked intruder in their bedroom. He said he wanted to use the couple's Wi-Fi network.

Todays kids have it way to easy, Why back when I was his age there was no wifi and if there was we were too poor to afford it.

Oh yes did I mention there was snow and we couldn't even afford shoes so lots of walking barefoot in 6 feet of snow was done? and I think theres was a school of some sort but we couldnt afford it.

he is addicted

Either to technology...

or

To god knows what...ice, meth, weed, grog....

or all of the above.

(or perhaps he just needs a good hard kick in the bum, and sent outside to the 'real world')

Being America hes lucky the old guy didn't have a gun he could have been dead, and unlucky at the same time, its easier to explain how a 60 plus year old took you down with a gun than it is to explain him slapping you into submission in the jail yard.

What a story @NickAu! He definitely nuts and needs to be put in a white coat!

He won't bother me and ask for the WiFi password:

Nick, I'll let that teen know he can use some of our bandwidth if he'll do some outside work around our home. It's been hitting highs of 120° F here lately, so I can call it crime-prevention therapy!

Woke up at 12.00am by a 17 year old burglar inside of my house.

OH HELL NO.

Problem solved. :thumbup2: I don't care what age.

Breaking into a persons house proves the intent is no good.
