Hi there, my poor laptop is in a real mess and I have no idea where to start sorting it out.  I have Malware Bytes installed and after a 20 hr scan it shows nothing.

I get the BSOD but it reboots ok.

I am hoping someone can help advise me on what to do in simple language - I checked the BSOD post and I don't understand it.

All assistance much appreciated.

Many thanks

Please left click on "file explorer" . Right click on "This PC"  select "properties" . Left click on "advanced system settings" . left click the button "settings"  under "startup and recovery"  Uncheck the box under "system failure" that says "automatically restart"  click "ok"   This will allow you to write down the code of the blue screen so you can post it here.

Ok thanks, I will have to wait for a BSOD to appear then I guess.

While I wait I have done cleanmgr and am now running sfc /scannow

If you have a past BSOD you can view the dumps with this little program.

It would be helpful if you posted the exact model of said laptop, run and post a Speccy Chart with directions by dc3.
