HP Pavillion Desktop (p6540y) AMD Phenom II 830 Quad-Core

Windows 10 Home. (upgraded from Windows 7)

File Explorer >

This PC > Pictures > Properties > Location is   C:\Users\DonMo\OneDrive\Pictures

I don't want this Folder in Onedrive.

No sweat. There's a convenient "Restore Default" button. So I click [Restore Default] to restore to it's proper place    C:\Users\Name\Pictures

But, upon clicking [Apply], there is a pop-up that asks if you want to move all the files to the new location. [Yes] then another pop-up tells me it can not move the "folder because their is a folder in the same location that can't be redirected. Acess is denied."

I do not understand this. It is asking if I'd like to move files, then tells me I can't move a folder. What's going on here? I want the default restored so onedrive is not part of This Computer > Pictures.

Confounded g a l d a a r n bleepingcomputers!

PS. I wanted to show image files. I made an imgur account and made the images and copied and pasted the BBCode. My images would not post. imgur's "Direct Link" would post the images, but I got a red carpet notice that it's not allowed. I know I am not supposed to mention this here mixing this with my main issue - but if anyone wants to tell me how I could possibly get such a simple thing screwed up, I'd much appreciate.

PS. I wanted to show image files. I made an imgur account and made the images and copied and pasted the BBCode.

There are two BBCode links available at Imgur, BBCode (message boards & forums) and BBCode Linked BBCode (message boards).  You should use the BBCode (message boards & forums).

Alternatively, you can do the following to posts images from Pictures.

How to post an image in your topic

Just below the area where you write text in a post there is the Post button, to the right of this is More Reply Options.

When you click on More Relpy Options you will see Attach Files and Browse, click on Browse, this will open Pictures on your computer, click on the image you want to post, then click on Attach This File, then Add Reply.

OneDrive is just another folder, you can drag and drop as easy as you can from any other folder. Drag the file to your desktop then just change the path.

Say No the popup to move the files. Then manually move the files yourself with a cut and paste action. Only choose the files and not the folder.
