This is about the various postings about Dell desktops that stop when the black Dell screen appears and won't move on.

There is a Dell youtube about this at   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRWmOcGd-Uc.

That video says to disconnect peripherals to see if one of them is causing the system to hang.

If you are having this problem, be sure to do this.  BUT, be sure to disconnect the mouse and keyboard.  The video says you can keep these connected, but sometimes it can be the keyboard or mouse.

A stuck key, particularly Ctrl, can cause this hang.  Be sure to check your keyboard any time the system will not advance to boot Windows.
