Hello!!!

Is there a non-resident/non-active virus program besides Bit Defender-8 or ClamWin?- That is FREE????

I want to keep me "always running" Virus/Spyware/Firewall and have another Virus program so I can "scan on demand".

I am very new to ALL this and really would appreciate some assistance.

Thank you and have a nice day!!!

There are many free on-line virus scanners. See the section in this BC list:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic3616.html

Check to see if your resident AV will allow you to scan "on demand" or scan only portions of your hard drive (s); most will have this option. The use of on-line scans should be supplementary to your resident AV protection that you rely upon.

John

Hello!!!!!

It appararently took me EONS to figure this site out i. e. how to get to "MY" asked questions ect.

BUT, thank you very much for your very helpful links to ALL that software. Of course, I'm still "playing" with it and it appears that it will be fruitful.

I really want to thank you!!!!
