When using the pointer, especially when doing a CCP, the pointer will start out working smoothly but will take off and go way too far. I have checked and all drivers are up to date. The mouse pad is synaptics (sp?). My OS is Windows 7 Professional. Computer is a Lenovo. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you all for your input.

I would uninstall the current touchpad drivers, via Device Manager...then reboot and allow new ones to automatically install.
