I'm a real novice so please excuse my dumb question.  I use chrome as my browser and I have Google as my search engine.  Lately, when I try to enter a word into the Google search box, the first letter I type in makes the box disappear.  Poof... it's gone!  Can anyone tell me how to stop this?  Thanks.

Try resetting Google Chrome:

  3. Search "reset" (without speech marks) and then click restore settings 3_zpspjfh70i9.png

Then reset and see if that fixes that. Hope this helps  :)
