So Woody is saying this update is bad?  I didn't totally get his gist. I installed the other update too, KB4291493, He seems to have a pretty nice website. Does he have any info on this update?

My laptop is working better than it has in awhile. It is a Windows home premium windows seven. Any advice would be helpful, as I would like to learn more about keeping my computer working at it's best.

Personally...I don't install any optional updates.  I install critical/security updates only.

Understanding what "optional" means in MS terms...should be a guide.
