It says amnesia on the screen backround.

The encrypted files have a .ssimpotashka@gmail  extension

The Ransomware ID site Identified it as Amenesia and AVCrypt.  AVG was stopped

REimage and spyhunter seem to have cleaned the machine, but I cannot decrypt the files yet.  Emisoft's Amnesia and Amnesia2 decryptors do not seem to work.

Any Ideas?

Ammesia/Amnesia-2 Ransomware (April-May 2017) and a more recent Scarab-Ammesia variant (March 2018) both use the .amnesia extension. The Scarab-Amnesia variant changes the original file name to a long string of random alpha-numerical and special characters SIMILAR to Amnesia before appending the extension to the end as described here.

This is Scarab-Amnesia

I described it on May 8, 2018. It is decrypted by means of decryption Dr.Web.

There is a translation of the basic elements into English. All should be understandable.

Read text also for this link. You can look at the encrypted files and know the encrypted ones with an old or new version of the Scarab encryptor.

Now can not be sure of anything that relates to encryptors.

It appears to be a lost cause at the moment to decrypt
