Hey,
I'am having some computer problems... My computer has been going slower than usual...... And in some cases.. increasing now... My computer will just freeze.. So I'd have to shutdown and re-boot everything... And then my processer won't even go on.... i'd have to wait for about 3 to 4 min's for it to go back on.. And sometimes freezes again........ And I'd had some other spyware webware problems... But with my spybot.. and Ad-aware.. They got rid of all of that... Except for something.. in the program files... It said this.... C:/program files/mysearch/bar/2.bin/54bandll Or something like that... My brother wrote this down.. and his hand writting is sloppy.. But anyways here is my hijack log and see if you see any unusual that could cause this to happen to my computer and so forth.............. Thank you

Hello chriscwirla, Welcome to BleepingComputer.com. The items at the top which are suggested are your call, if you want them gone, let me know, and I will give you instructions for removing them.

(Suggest removal)
C:\Program Files\Support.com\bin\tgcmd.exe
http://computercops.biz/startuplist-3845.html

(Suggest removal)
O16 - DPF: {03F998B2-0E00-11D3-A498-00104B6EB52E} (MetaStreamCtl Class) - https://components.viewpoint.com/MTSInstall...irearms/3d/1100

C:\Documents and Settings\Christopher\My Documents\Documents\HijackThis.exe
I have no objections to HJT.exe being stored in the Documents folder, but it does need it's own folder to store backups and logs for safety. If you wish, open your C drive, and right click on a blank spot and create a new folder, move the HJT.exe into that folder and delete anything outside of the folder. This would look like this: C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe

To be safe, open your Task Manager (Ctrl, Alt, Delete at the same time) under the Processes Tab, look for this item and end process on it IF it is there:
C:/program files/mysearch/

Enable hidden files: http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Scan with HijackThis and check each of these line items:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://ms101.mysearch.com/sa/srchlft.html
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
O16 - DPF: {41F17733-B041-4099-A042-B518BB6A408C} - http://a1540.g.akamai.net/7/1540/52/200210...meInstaller.exe
(http://boards.cexx.org/posting.php?mode=quote&p=4595)

Right click on Start, then click on Explore, locate and delete this folder IF it is there:

C:/program files/mysearch/ >>> folder

Clean like this: Start, Run type "cleanmgr" without the quotes then ok. Allow
windows to remove anything it locates. Empty the recycle bin and restart your computer. Using Add Reply to stay in this same thread, post a new log along with your feedback.

This program is considered to do a better job that cleanmgr, so I am posting a link for your consideration:

Thanks...pskelley

Hello chriscwirla, You are looking better, just a couple of more items.

QUOTE
I got a little bit confused with the two recommended removal thing's So could you help me and explain that a little bit clearer on how to work it?

Choose Start, then Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Locate the programs you wish to remove, Make sure you have read the information under the item and you do want to remove these items. Then follow direction to delete them.
Support.com
Viewpoint

Next I need if you have or ever had NET Framework installed? Then look in your Windows Folder to see if you can find this file:
C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe (file missing) If you locate it, right click on it and choose properties, give me any information you see there.

Also look at this item and tell me what you can about it by looking at it's properties, do you have this service?

First, you will need to enable all files, choose the instructions in your Operating System in this link:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Then enter Safe Mode, choose the instructions for your Operating System here:
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

RIGHT click on Start, then click on Explore. In the tree that opens, locate this item: C:\WINDOWS\system32\pctspk.exe Hightlite the item and right click, then choose properties. Record and put in the next post all the information that is there.

Now search for this item: C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe >> file only and delete it.

Empty the recycle bin, restart the computer. Post a new log with the information requested.

Thanks...pskelley

Alrighty, Here is the information you asked for, following your directions... Now It was the same thing i did earlier but i re did it anyways with anything i thought would be useful.... With Pctspk.exe

GENERAL

Type of file: Application

Description: pctvoice

Location: C:\Windows\System32

Size: 160KB

Size on Disk: 160KB

Created: Wednesday, March, 13,2002, 8:07:18 P.M.

Modified: Wednesday, March, 13,2002, 8:07:18 P.M.

Accessed: Today, December 28, 2004 6:17:22 P.M.

VERSION
Version: 1.0.0.1.

Description: pctvoice MFC Application

And It had a check on able to use Full control, Modify, Read & execute, Read and Write.... But it didn't have a check on Special Permission

Alright Now with this Svchost? What is it anyways? What does it do? And I was confused... Because i only found it be clicking the easy searcher and then typing words on its location.. And then that would find it.. Though I did look for the File Automatically... And i Got in System32.. The Thumbnail picture of a program like.. Like When your on the internet.. The Big small White box.. Thats what i got with Svchost And their was like a svcpack right by it.. And now Just when i'am looking at it.. Nonsafe mode... It has to little notepad's instead.. And before though it was a small white box picture icon and the two little twisty metal things.. like on clocks.. OMG when i read over this... It just shows how much i know about computers and how logical i'am lol...... I'am sorry about this..... Well anyways though.... Careless of thought I just did and tried to delete it anyways... And it wouldn't let me... Access Denied... Now for 1 Am I doing the right one...... I mean their is three and i did just find that 2 svchost in windows system32.. With those 2 pictures i just tried and described to you.. Hopefully you know them lol...... But While i was in safe mode... Just to get some things done... All up-to-date I used My Ad-aware and Spy-bot and they just found a few bit of tracing cookies... SO THATS GOOD!! And I did a clean up on my computer and defragmented it too.. Alright but anyways TO THE important stuff here is my new hijack log and Good luck to you sir... And Thank you

Ok chriscwirla, Just one more item, then I will give you some great information to help you stay uninfected in the future if you follow it.

Open HijackThis and click on SCAN, then put a check in front of this line:

O23 - Service: .NET Framework Service - Unknown - C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe (file missing)

Close all programs but HJT and ALL browser windows then click on "Fix Checked"

Empty the recycle bin and restart the computer.

Here is it information I promised from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler, that will help you to stay uninfected in the future if you follow it.
