Hi all

I'm having this really strange issue with a new cable that I purchased.

What seems to be happening is that when the sending device is outputting it's display through HDMI to doesn't seem to display on my screen with the other end (receiving end) being a display port connection.

However when the sending device is outputting it's display through display port the receiving end on the same cable with HDMI does display on my screen.

I have tried this on two different model laptops with the HDMI out and display port to my screen.

Has anyone else seen this or know of a fix for it?

I don't believe it is possible to go from HDMI to DisplayPort unless you get an active adapter. You can go from DisplayPort Device to HDMI monitor with the cheaper cord.
