Have a Dell desktop and an HP laptop – have turned on Bluetooth in each and have turned on nearby sharing in each. When I attempt to share a file from my desktop to the laptop I get the message that No Contacts are available. In the settings for each PC it says that Bluetooth is turned on and the device is discoverable.
Device Manager says:
desktop – >Dell Wireless 1705 Bluetooth
laptop – >Broadcom 43142 Bluetooth Adapter
of course the device manager says that each is operating correctly.
I have no other Bluetooth devices attached (or even available) – so I'm not sure that the Bluetooth is even operational. Any suggestions for determining the status.
