I first posted on reddit but got no help, I should say I haven't experienced the problem again. I will copy and paste what I posted below:

Any security experts want to help me out here, I don't know if it's a one time thing going to this website but it's the first time it's happened to me. I do not have any weird programs on my PC, the same old programs you would find on any gaming computer(steam,blizz,spotify,obs,astro,corsair,etc.).

I went to website for a restaurant (fogodechao.com), and I got a redirected to a chrome "2018 annual visitor survey". I went to chrome cleanup and reset chrome settings and ran windows defender quick scan. The only extensions I'm using is ublock origin and https everywhere. Am I infected with adware or did my browser get hijacked? Or is it just a one time popup from that site? I usually just browse on twitch and reddit and hardly go to any other site, mostly play games on this pc.

Thanks, any help is appreciated

edit: that popup link had ".loan" at the ending of the url, if that helps

As long as you didnt hit the Visitor Survey popup or did , i would say you are safe anyway , just a redirect to somewhere else ?

Youve reset chrome so thats a start +1

Run Malwarebytes Free if you want and delete what it finds.

And if you dont see any odd behaivor on the PC you should be ok.
