In searching for information on how to remove Avira, I happened upon this very, very useful page put together by the folks at Bitdefender with links to the manual removal pages for a wide number of antivirus makers. It will likely prove useful to others looking to uninstall an antivirus program that, "I thought I did uninstall!," but where somehow certain dregs remained on the system.
