HI There,  My MAC is running super slow in the past few weeks with programs frequently freezing.  I use AVG free scanner and it doesn't pic up any viruses.  I have a feeling that it could be a virus slowing things down.  Any tips on how to check for problems that AVG may not pick up?  Thanks in advance.

Try Malwarebytes and Avast Security; both have free versions for the Mac.

I've learned blood is not thicker than money.
