I have tried to update my PC (Windows 10 Pro 64bit) with the latest may update kb4103721 but I'm getting  Error code: (0x80073712) When I troubleshoot it says I have pending updates. How do I remove the corrupt files?

I have tried the following:-

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealthsfc /scannow

Deleted content in Software Distribution Download file

Still getting the Error code: (0x80073712) What are your suggestions?

Thanks

Hoggie.

The following needs to be run as an Administrator.

These instructions are to rebuild the Windows Update Components.

Click/tap on the Search icon (magnifing glass)in the Taskbar and type cdm.

You will see Command Prompt under Best match, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

Copy and paste the four commands below in the Command Prompt one at a time, then press Enter for each command.

1.    net stop wuauserv

2.    cd %systemroot%

3.    ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

4.    net start wuauserv

Restart the computer to complete the repair.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Hi tried this (below) and this is what I got

There were problems downloading some updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this, try searching the web or contacting support for help. This error code might help: (0x8024a105)
