Hello
i have an Acer laptop that came with windows 7...Later i upgraded to windows 10. The computer then crashed and i did a reset with the option to erase everything. I thought the os would go back to windows 7 but it started up with windows 10. Why did this happen..thanks

When you do a reset of Windows 10 it will remain at Windows 10. If when you upgraded Windows 10 did not remove the factory reset partition you could go back to Windows 7 using the key combination shown in the below video.

You may get an option to keep your files but I would still back them up to another device before you attempt this.   Programs would definitely have to be reinstalled :)  .

If you do the factory reset back to Windows 7 then everything will be gone. It will be like it was when you first booted it so back up all your files. You will need to reinstall all your programs so also make a note of any license keys you need for purchased programs.
