Hi, I'm a first time user of this service and so thank you for offering it. I'm hoping I've picked the correct place to post this topic? My Windows 7 laptop has been running VERY slowly for a couple of days and freezing up on me. I only noticed today that Avira free anti virus software is not working properly. The real time protection has been deactivated and I cannot re activate it. I searched your topics for a solution and came across the Necurs Cleaner software, which I ran but found no threat detected.

Free versions of Antivirus software usually are limited and don't have real-time protection (the most important part of the antivirus). You may have gotten it in the past as a 30 day trial. You need to buy the full pro version that comes with 1yr subscription.
