Greetings, I am also newbie on this forum. Before, I often read different discussions here, when I had problems with my computer.

My real name is Nathan. I like gaming and programming. Now I would like to update my PC and that's why I have a few questions about it. I want to replace my CPU AMD FXX8 8120 with AMD Ryzen 5 1600x.

Thanks and good luck!

Welcome to BC! I would recommend the 1700X . For a 100 dollar difference in price you will get a whole lot more bang for your buck! However, the Ryzen 1600X is still a good choice if you don't have the extra cash! You will also need a new Ryzen compatible motherboard and maybe RAM as well. Anyway, again, welcome to BC! There are no stupid questions here. I started here as a newbie as well and found that the folks on this forum are extremely helpful in answering all your questions. Happy Computing!

Hi! Thank you for your advice and for the welcome! I also thought it was better to spend a little bit more money and buy the 1700X.

I knew that this is a good forum and I will find good advice, I'm glad to be a member here.  Thank you again for your help!

Correction- the Ryzen 2700X is what I meant to say!
