Hey guys, this Mid 2012 MBP's internal HDD is working fast and perfectly but I am trying to upgrade to a bigger HDD and OSX won't recognize the HDD. I tried a new unformatted drive and a working drive from a windows laptop.

Trying IR does not go to the install OSX screen but rather when I enter my network password next screen I am getting is an exclamation mark over a globe with apple/support 2002 written under it.

I am not understanding why the internal HDD is working perfectly but the system is not working for a replacement drive?

You need to format the new disk with Disk Utility before trying to install OS X on it.
