Hello. I have an HP Envy 750-114 Desk Top with an Intel® HD Graphics 530 display adapter.  The desk top only has two HDMI ports and I would like to run three monitors. I have researched the display adapter and it is capable of running three monitors.  I purchased an HDMI to USB adapter for the third monitor, but it does not work.  Through further research I found out that my particular display adapter will not work via a USB port.  Do I have any other options?  Thank you!

The Intel HD Graphics 530 is capable of operating in 3 monitor mode, however if the mainboard (as in this case) does not provide for 3 monitor connections, there is no way to connect a third monitor to utilize the onboard video.

You would need to find a suitable video card with 3 monitor support, which might also require upgrade of the PSU which is only a 300W unit.

you have an express pci slot, buy a video card and install it.  then you can use both hdmi and the video cards ports.

You have to be careful with this solution as manufactured machines don't have a lot of extra power available to run another video card.

Thank you.  I appreciate it.

I'm going to try a Plugable HDMI to USB adapter/external graphics card.  My computer was advertised as being able to handle three monitors, as is its Intel 530 Graphics Adapter, so I just need to find a way to get the third monitor hooked up.  Hopefully this works.

Thank you for your time!

if you don't buy a top of the line card for gaming and just buy a budget card it won't need much power to run a 3rd port.
