Hi there, I'm needing some real help as I've been through the gamut! I cannot get into two sites: ssl.clickbank.com and adwords.google.com. I have (had) Zone Alarm (which I have completely disabled, every file), BitDefender 9 (antivirus), Xoptspy 4.22 (anti spyware), I have run Spybot. Nothing shows up! I ran Hijackthis and checked out all files but will include the report below. Also checked security boxes 20 and 30, I think and a bunch more stuff I can't even remember!!

When I called Gateway, they said it had to be the server. The server, very graciously, helped me extensively and concluded it had to be ZoneAlarm as the browsing address did not even get out of my computer. But as I mentioned above, I have since uninstalled ZoneAlarm.

To mention a few other things: can't open the Hosts MVPS MS-DOS batch file (a flash of a black screen and its gone) and Autoruns does the same thing. Also FireFox seems slow. So hope that's enough info to give you an idea. Look forward to some advice. Thanks a lot...........Candy

Thought I'd better post back in case you were able to get to my concerns. I finally figured out the problem of the two sites 'not found' after suspecting the Hosts program and searching, searching, and searching for the answer. But I did find it! java script:emoticon(':clapping:', 'smid_8') Boy was I happy!!! Anyway I disabled the Host program by dragging the file to my desktop and now I have to put it back and edit the files. Here's the site that was soooooo helpful: http://accs-net.com/hosts/what_is_hosts.html . Appreciate being able to come here with my problems! ...........Candy

Hi candy. Glad to hear you got everything squared away. In that case I will close this topic. If you have any new malware-related questions or issues in the future please start a new topic.

Cheers.
