... or more specifically from the southwest part of the Great State of Texas!!

Someone already has my preferred user name ( AlJones, no surprise there ) so I've used the name that's become my secondary handle.  I'm the Dragon on a forum I run and live just north of Terlingua Texas ... hence the "TerlinguaDragon."

I've been working with computers since sometime around 1972.  I've worked with / around IBM 3xx mainframes, HP and Burroughs mini's, micro micros Kaypro / Commodore business machines - mostly writing code.  As the PC's invaded the market, I moved along with them - paid a couple of thousand for my first 64kb ram / 10mb hd / green video computer.  Started building my own PC's then (early '80's) and with the exception of my last box ( an HP desktop ) I've built every system I've had since.

I consider myself reasonably computer proficient - but at 71, one begins to wonder if I really know what I think I do or not ...

My problem is posted in one of the request for help areas ... not sure where yet.

With the red dragon I thought at first there was a Welsh connection.
