Hello, i am having a strange problem that has only started to happen around 2 weeks ago.

It goes like this, my computer starts up fine but then random programs start to hang for no reason, including windows explorer and classic shell.

The programs take ages to be killed by task manager, even task manager hangs sometimes too.

I have no idea what is causing this but i have tried doing a long S.M.A.R.T test on all the drives i have.

All of them have passed so far.

What information would you need to get a good idea of whats causing it and what should i do next?

Edit: Other symptoms include the computer taking more than a few minutes to shut down but starting up is fine.

I would try uninstalling Classic Shell and restarting the machine.
