Hello!

i just found a trojan under windows\system32 named diskdriver.exe

the programm i used to find it was spyhunter4.

I used the Farbar's Recovery Scan Tool   and  Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit  to remove it at first,

which ended up in this exe installing itself again in minutes.

Spyhunter seems to have found another path to this trojan in:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run::diskdriver.

now my question is, what can i do about that and how to prevent this from happening in the future?

english isnt my first language, my apologies.

thank you in advance :)

PS: i attached all the logs from the above mentioned tools

PPS: if anyone has an IDEA where i could look it up or research about it, would be greatly appreciated :)

Ok so i changed my pc-language to english but for some reason its still in german.
I looked up for all the new files in System32 and it seems like the last Items are from the 14th of march (which is good).
Just started running an Avira scan on it(although i dont know whether it actually is worth it) and it didnt show anything suspicious yet.
My question would be, what kind of black magic you used to do this, as i dont understand what you did.
And most importantly, which programs should i download to be safe from this kind of files in the future.

Hi,

My search for this file diskdriver.exe led me to this site.

https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/726462d82647e8134a35265d5f79f3a7f38cb108c61849a529969e16954f6a65/detection

And this file windfn.exe Not signed and not a Microsoft file.

So the fix deleted them and the reference in the Registfry.
