So I transferred 219GB of files from a old internal HD to a newer external HD. After doing so, the files appeared lost/hidden in the folder I transferred the files to (though when I tried to open this folder, windows said I needed admin rights to do so).

Looking up the HD on Windows 10 Storage (Exhibit #2), there appears to be 219GB of files labeled as System & Reserved. Bingo! So the first thing I did was (1) Show hidden files, folders, and drives and (2) uncheck Hide protected operating system files. No luck. Files still not there.

Second thing I did was look up the possibility of a system reserved partition in Disk Management (Exhibit #1, Disk1). No luck.

Third thing I did was look up where the files could be hiding using WinDirStat (Exhibit #3). Only 690GB are shown. the 219GB are not there.

I'm a bit at a loss now. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Cosmic Origami
