Long ago, I set up a HomeGroup with Windows 7.  Family not interested.  We never used.  Password long forgotten.

I have "upgraded" to Windows 10.  I would like to access HomeGroup again.

If I try to access HomeGroup, I get message inviting me to join, I can get the password from "user on UserPC or another member of the HomeGroup."

I have tried

> Right-click on HomeGroup in the File Explorer; "View the HomeGroup password" is grayed out on every user.

> I t has been suggested that I try going to Control Panel>Network and Internet>HomeGroup and click on "Change Password," but this option does not come up; I only get "user on User-PC has created a HomeGroup - Join Now."

> I have tried HomeGroup Online Reset Troubleshooter.  It stopped; reset; then told me to re-start and join the HomeGroup.  Didn't work.

Any other ideas?
