Hello,

I'm using an Acer Inspire V Nitro, but since today, my laptop doesn't recognise it's built in speakers anymore. I tried reinstalling it's driver, but this didn't work. The speakers also don't show up in the device manager and in the sound menu.

How can I fix this?

Kind regards

Thijs

PS. I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm still learning the language...

Do headphones work on this computer?

Open the Device Manager and click on View, then click on Show hidden devices to see if the speakers are seen there.

Try doing a System Restore and see if this resolves the audio problem.

Windows 10 System Restore

Press the Windows key OS4o0pO.png and the R key to open the Run box.

When the Run box opens copy and paste rstrui.exe in the Run box, then press OK.

When System Restore opens tap/click on Next.  You will need to select a restore point prior to the date your problem started.  You will see a check box in the lower left portion of the page for Show more restore points to see more restore point options.

Follow the prompts to complete the system restore.

There is no reason for you to re-post what I've already posted.

They didn't show up at the device manager, but after the system restore, it was fixed. Thank you!
