I have an iPod shuffle which I connect to my Windows 10 computer via USB cable.  I then go to iTunes and load the Shuffle with songs via drop and drag.  It's always worked fine, but the last time I connected, iTunes did not recognize the Shuffle.  File Explorer recognized it, but said it was empty (it was not; it was full of tunes).  I tried a couple of different USB connections - same result.  I then connected the Shuffle to a different computer that was using Windows XP and it was recognized, no problem.  The only thing I can think of is that a Windows 10 update has changed something (I hate Windows 10 BTW, but that's another story).  Or has something changed in my Shuffle (it's old).  Any ideas?

Have you tried updating your iTunes software ?  It is always possible that a Win 10 update has affected iTunes. I would think that more likely than the possibiility that Win 10 no longer recognises your player, especially as you can see it in file Explorer/

Thanks, Chris.  I think you're probably right and I will have to update iTunes.  I'm using an old version, because it has worked well for me, and I didn't like newer versions.
