I may have posted in the wrong forum for help. How do I PM a moderator or administrator to make that decision and/or move the topic?

Hi,

I may have posted in the wrong forum for help. How do I PM a moderator or administrator to make that decision and/or move the topic?

Just for the record you can use the Report button on the bottom right of the post to request the move of the topic, etc... Doing that the Moderators will get a notification.

• Please do not PM me asking for support. Post on the forums instead it will increases the chances of getting help for your problem by one of us.
• Posts in the Malware section that are not replied to within 4 days will be closed. PM me or a moderator to reactivate.
• Please post your final results, good or bad. We like to know! Thank you!

As SleepyDude has said, if it is a problem with a post or topic then use the 'Report' key. this lights up a red banner at the top of every Mod's screen and whoever sees it first will normally react. This is for problems like spam, posts/topics in the wrong place, and other occasional problems of this sort. It is the quickest way of getting a moderator response.

To send any member a PM (private message) click on their avatar. This will take you to their profile where, at the top right, you will see a button 'Send me a message'. click on this and continue as for any post/topic. Any reply depends on them coming on line, seeing they have a PM, and then deciding they want to reply.

Another alternative is just to hover over the member's name link at the upper left above any post.  A pop-up will appear with the member's avatar as well as two buttons:

Find Content & Send Message.
