Ms Outlook 2000

I would like to know how to automatically check my email, whenever I enter Outlook. It worked on my old computer, but now that I have installed it on my new computer, I can't figure out how to do it. Can you help? Thanks.

There should be a setting in "tools" to set how often it checks for new email.
