Hey guys, new guy here and my first post. I live in Arizona & just turned 28 and am undergoing a career change from HVAC/Electrician to IT. I'm in school to get my bachelor's degree from Devry in Computer information Systems w/ emphasis in Information Systems Security, and I should complete that towards the end of 2020. Until then, to gain some experience and make some money in the process, I'm studying for my core CompTIA courses.

Now a little background on me..I have a pretty extensive background in computers at an early age. I started building computers when I was 12, when WinXP was coming out in PC's with 128/256mb of RAM. I tinkered around and did things such as setup FTP servers, private game servers, did the occasional reformat, did some troubleshooting, setup home networks & converted PC's into media centers. Always talked about getting my A+ and getting a job in a PC shop to start, but ultimately never did. Fast forward to age 18 I enlisted in the army, and somehow got stuck in construction ever since. So I'm basically just now entering the field of IT.

Can anybody give me an idea what I can expect to see on the 901 & 902 courses? How much I can expect to see upon entry, and as well as throughout my education & stacking of Network+ & Security+ certifications?

Any additional tips or assistance in getting into this field would be highly appreciated. Thank you everyone in advance!
