Clean install of 8.1

Hi all,have a quick question.I want to do a clean install of 8.1 and would like to know what is in the windows.old folder.Don't know if my memory serves me correct but I think it's program files and my

personal folder among other things.Would that be correct.

normally it is files from a previous installation of windows
