Hi there,

I have a problem with my laptop, Windows 10 version. I cannot open my drive C, it seems like it is crashing whenever I try to open it and hearing a click sound from my disk drive. It is also showing a CD icon with my pointer together with that sound. I tried to restart my laptop and it will give access again to my Drive C but after few hours it will go back to that state again.

I hope somebody could help me with this issue.

Thanks in advance

What do you mean you can't "open the drive"? What is it you are trying to do. Also, a clicking hard drive is the first indication of failure. Make sure all of your data is backed up and then replace the drive.

Yes, double clicking. I can still open it if I restart my laptop but after few hours I can't open it again. It's like crashing or something

You need to pull your data off the drive before you even decide to test it. Testing the drive can cause it go into final failure.

Seatools for Windows for most drives.

If a WD then use their software.
