First I want to say that I'm not sure if I put this thread into the right topic...
Recently I have built my own FreeNAS NAS-Server which should run 24/7, but due to the high power consumption I thought that there could be a possibility to power my Server in an other way…
So (maybe this is a dumb question but I thought maybe some of you had also done something like this) I thought It might be a solution to low my electricity costs by using something like a mini generator powered by the sun or by the wind.
But because I live in a rented apartment I’m not able to put something on my roof or in the basement so I’m limited to the Garden or preferably the terrace.
Are there any options like wind or solar power generators to power my NAS ?
I imagined it as a generator in which you can plug in your device but I think it might be more complicated, if even possible.
