As a graphic and web designer I spend around 12 hours a day on my laptop. I plan on keeping it for around 5 years so I want something reliable and with great performance (price is not a big issue). Please note that I don't play games on the computer. I want a 17" screen so I was looking at the Lenovo Thinkpad P71 with a 4K IPS screen.

Here's the configuration I'm looking to buy:

Lenovo ThinkPad P71

● Intel Xeon E3-1505M v6 Processor (4 Cores, 8MB Cache, up to 4.0GHz)
● 32GB(16+16) DDR4 2400MHz ECC SoDIMM
● 1TB SSD PCIe TLC OPAL2

● 17.3" 4K (3840x2160), anti-glare, IPS

Price before taxes: 4,989$ CAD = $3,800 USD

Please let me know what you think!

Lenovo makes a quality product, I only buy Lenovo for myself and I recommend them to our customers, but they are on the higher end of the payscale, but if price is no concern then Lenovo is great! The other thing you may want to consider is is a i7 vs the Xeon E3...here is a cpu benchmark comparison
