Hi there and thanks for adding me to the forum! I had that problem since some time that programs are not responding and it slows work down A LOT.  I use firefox and it slows down when I use facebook, often so much that I have to close firefox.

I came across this site because I was reading about the pay-form of IOBIT advanced system care. I use their uninstaller, malware fighter, driver booster and advanced systeem care (all the free versions). After what I read, I think I should uninstall all of them but the malware fighter (in case that this is the malware fighter which I should use).

What should I do to get rid of the non responing programs? I have a shopify website and yes the computer should run smoothly. Thanks!!!

I suggest uninstalling every program developed by IObit and their brethren.  No system has a need for such.

The native Microsoft Security Essentials...is adequate enough for an installed AV program and it won't install software on your system that does nothing useful.

Thanks. You suggest I don't need any other Antivirus program? But the reason why I installed that IOBIT stuff is that I had non responding programs, of course this did not help....

If I remember rightly the Firefox Adobe plug-in can stop working properly causing high CPU usage. Check if that happens by using the Task Manager and looking at the processes

That's what I do, BUT until the task manager wakes up in that situation it takes a long long time. I wonder if it has something to do with my computer since it happens in other programs too, or with firefox, because it is usually running in the background.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Go to Piriform's website, and download the free version on the left.  Click Download from Piriform.com (the FileHippo link requires an extra click). Or if you want to use a portable version of Speccy (which doesn't require installation), click the builds page link and download the portable version. You will now be asked where you want to save the file. The best place to put it is the Desktop, as it will be easy to find later.

After the file finishes downloading, you are ready to run Speccy. If you downloaded the installer, simply double-click on it and follow the prompts until installation is complete. If you downloaded the portable version, you will need to unzip it before use. Right-click the ZIP file and click Extract all. Click Next. Open up the extracted folder and double-click on Speccy.

Once inside Speccy, it will look similar to this (with your computer's specifications, of course):

post-33068-0-86653600-1480692866_thumb.j

Now, at the top, click File > Publish Snapshot.

Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard

Now, once you are back in the forum topic you are posting in, click the ADD REPLY or REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button. Right-click in the empty space of the Reply box and click Paste. Then, click Add Reply below the Reply box.
