Strange Screen

When in safe or bios mode the image is about 6cms to the left meaning I can't access the leftmost 6cms and there's a 6cm black strip on the right.Is there a way to rectify this?Thanks.

Try adjusting the controls on your monitor to bring the display to the right.

What kind of monitor is it? A flat panel or a flat screen crt type?
