After some issues with my Seagate drives I'd like to get a external RAID box to have a complete backup of my data. I would need at least 5 TB of space. I was thinking of 1 or 2 drives with a parity drive. Or maybe just a straight mirrored drive would be fine.

I wouldnt want to spend too much.

Get a Synology. It's the best out there. There's several models.

WD Red drives are excellent for RAID functionality.
