What dog breeds do you like? Personally I like miniature schnauzer's and golden retriever's.

You can list as many as you like. :)

Love most if not all breeds, but my favorite was a Malamute-wolf mix. Can't find a good image approximation, kinda like below but longer hair with peach color:

Did use a photo of her for an animated avatar on another board:

Now we have a Pom-Chi (kinda like below image) my wife rescued in Prescott (now his name), Arizona. When she said part Chihuahua I pictured a tiny Rodney Dangerfield on speed, but he's mellow:

I got to agree r.a.d. I also like almost any dog breed as long as the dog has a friendly personality, but there are certain breeds that just stand out in my eye. :thumbup2:

Irish setters, especially the females if they remain un-fixed are very protrective of their families.   Any dog can be trained to be vicious, but it doesn't come naturally.   There are NO bad dogs, just bad owners.

Beagles, German Shepards, Labs, Golden Retrievers, pretty much any medium-to-large size dog.

I'll tell you what I don't like. It's little Chihuahuas that bark incessantly.

I didn't know schnauzers were yappers, ones I've known we're mellow, liked them a lot.

Our Pom-Chi can sure bark, like at the doorbell (ears can bleed) but usually mellows. Must be his south-of-the-border machismo ancestry (Chihuahua).

My Malamute-wolf never barked, but a snort, or in worse cases, a deep growl warned of danger. Little dogs loved and played with her, kids too, but a few fights with bigger dogs, usually dobies or shepherds, instigated by them, never her, resulted in injuries to them, never her.
Whenever that happened I'd be right there for that split second where I could separate them. Guess some didn't like that wolf scent.

Very much agree with the statement: there are NO bad dogs, just bad owners.
