I used double quotes.

 

c:\>cd demo
 
c:\demo>dir
 Volume in drive C has no label.

Thats working. your big help. Now I have some files and folders which show under dos but not in windows explorer. How do I make them appear in windows explorer pls

See folders (01 doing ; 03 ideas etc) in dos are present but not accessible in explorer. Why?

Wouldn't it make more sense to use names that work, rather than names that don't and cause all these problems?

It's Windows 7 with a busted (not running) Themes Service.
