I could use some help.

Computer OS windows 2000 NT, home computer, several users.

I can not open any files without going to shift + right mouse click run as.

If I try to open a program I get the error message "This program does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel".

Some how the registry has become corrupted or maybe I messed it up somehow..I do like to tinker.

(In advance) Thank you for any time saving help. Happy Holidays and a Merry
X-mas to everyone.
