Hi There

I am about to upgrade my mobile phone from 3 to vodafone, my problem is I live in a rural area and need a mobile phone that picks up a good signal. I've been on some of the mobile phone forums but am still none the wiser. I am thinking or getting the samsung D900 or the samsung Z 400 does anyone know if they are pretty good as far as the signals are concerned.

Well you need to check with your wireless carrier first. Then if they support the phone(and they have good reception in your area too!!) you can get it.

Read the reviews on all models at this site:
http://www.epinions.com

Or check out google

I sent an E-mail to vodafone to see if they can help me...

Checked out your site but did not reconise the phones, do they have different phones in the U.S or is it me.

Howardforums has a section devoted to Vodafone. Asking there may get you an good answer.

Speaking from a US perspective... Nokia has a reputaion for the best RF performance. Motorola generally does a good job. Others phones can be better or worse depending on the specific model. I haven't really heard much about the Samsungs.

suehall,

I see by your member profile that you are UK based. The UK and most of Europe uses the GSM mobile standard, while the US uses CDMA, TDMA and PCS. Primarily the epionins website mentioned earlier is US based, and based on non compliant technology, and would not be of much value. I would look for a UK based mobile phone review site. Here is a goggle listing of UK Mobile Phone Reviews.
