My old Compaq presario 2500 XP sp3 can't connect wifi with

Verizon Fios G1100 Quantum Gateway Wireless Router.

I installed XP from scratch and then updated to sp3.

I installed drivers from

Is there a yellow exclamation mark next to your Wifi adapter in Device Manager? If there is right click, select Properties. Under the Details tab select Hardware IDs in the dropdown box. Post the complete first line.

Edit: This computer connected to the Fios modem before the clean install?

No

PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4320&SUBSYS_00E70E11&REV_02

No

Also, I set up Fios router security type: WPEA2 but can't found in laptop addapter (Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN only has two options: WPA-PSK and WPA)

I think your problem is the Wifi adapter, being on an older computer, does not support WPA2. I would advise you purchase a USB Wifi dongle. This being an older computer, I would try one of the cheaper plug and play dongles sold on Ebay that support WPA2.

Edit: Do not use WPA as it is not secure.

Your Welcome,

You may be able to find something local. If you have the time post back how the USB dongle worked out. Thanks.

Your Welcome, good luck on the new laptop. You really should not be using XP SP3 anyhow as it is no longer secure.
